Turkey Day is here, and your bird is burned, or extra relatives have materialized, or you were planning on going out for Chinese food but now find you really want stuffing and gravy. Following is a list—by no means exhaustive-of local restaurants that would love to relieve you of turkey duty at the last minute this year. Kaspar's A whole special menu of traditional and nontraditional delights, starring honey-baked ham and roast turkey, but also featuring rum-smoked salmon, chicken cilantro meatballs, and teriyaki beef with red-cabbage slaw. The Rose Club The new Mount Baker spot offers a five-course meal (this one including beer or wine! Yee-haw!) for vegetarians ($20) or carnivores ($25). Thanksgiving Day, seatings at 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. 3601 S. McClellan, 725-3654.
Caf順lora Vegetarians, give thanks: Choose from phyllo roulade or p of lentils and nuts as main dish; apple tart, chocolate bread pudding, or pumpkin cake for dessert; plus two more vegetarian courses. Thanksgiving Day, 1-7 p.m.; $40 adults, $12 per child. 2901 E. Madison, 325-9100.
Yarrow Bay Grill Order from an ࠬa carte menu of seasonal specialties like rabbit in Armagnac-prune sauce ($26), rack of lamb in a cabernet demi-glace ($39), and wild mushrooms en croute with artichokes ($18), plus a dozen appetizers and salads ranging from $4 to $21. Ray's Boathouse Two ways to play the big day: In Ray's Cafe upstairs, a gargantuan seasonal buffet with all the trimmings for $24.95 a person, kids 5-11 half price, under 5 free. Thanksgiving Day, noon-8 p.m. Downstairs, three courses chosen from a special menu run $24 to $32 depending on main dish, ranging from roast turkey to a combo platter of prime rib and king crab legs. Avenue One A voluptuous continental meal with choices for every course: We're partial to the tuna tartare with duck cracklings and curry oil, carrot soup with pistachios and cumin cream, roast pheasant with a bacon and chestnut strudel, and the braised pineapple-goat cheese dessert. Szmania If you're already booked for Turkey Day, you can still seasonally celebrate just one week late with Ludger Szmania's Okanogan banquet featuring smoked steelhead appetizer, a pear and chanterelle salad with Westphalian ham, roast fallow deer, and pumpkin cheesecake with spiced cranberries.
