The Nosh

Honeyhole In a neighborhood with a sandwich shop on every other corner, where even squishy lunchmeat on Wonder Bread passes for a meal, Honeyhole is a godsend, delivering tasty meats and veggies on an enticing array of freshly baked breads. From its nightly transformation into a funky bar to the unique sandwich names, something about this place appeals to everyone. Hot sandwiches—like the Buford T. Justice, with tangy pulled pork, pineapple barbecue sauce, and melted provolone—never disappoint, nor do vegetarian options (chief among them: El Guapo, whose assorted veggies and Italian herbs get a flavorful boost from smoked gouda and ranch dressing). Since most sandwiches are priced under $6, Honeyhole won't break the bank, though it may well break you of the Wonder Bread habit. 703 E. Pike St., 206-709-1399. CAPITOL HILL
