KIRKLAND Jan. 19 Thirty Seattle restaurants are pitching in for Mercy Corps' Wave of Compassion relief effort by donating a percentage of tonight's sales to tsunami victims. Participating restaurants include Assagio, Crow, Monsoon, Rover's, Waterfront Seafood & Grill, Brasa, Nell's, Zigzag Cafe, Il Bistro, Supreme, Ovio Bistro, Vios, Matt's in the Market, the Pink Door, and Ray's Boathouse. Check with your favorite restaurant to see if they're participating, and ask each establishment for specific details regarding how much they're donating. Jan. 22 Aw, the '70s. Hippies, Yippies, and Bicentennial fever. Oh, and there was wine, too. Sommelier Arnie Millan has teamed up with Brasserie Margaux chef Chris Zarkades to present a dinner paired with rare wines from the era. This exclusive event will take place in a 19th-floor suite in the Warwick Hotel.
