ON THE PLATE Through the summer Andaluca offers Mediterranean dishes for the warm summer months, with everything from berries to Dungeness crab on the menu. The fattoush salad comes with a variety of vegetables along with kalamata olives and feta, the green gazpacho is covered with pieces of crab, and flans, tarts, custards, and crepes are being created from every berry under the sun (or at least from raspberries, blackberries, and blueberries). 407 Olive Way, 206-382-6999. DOWNTOWN Through Aug. 16 There's a new slice of pizza in town, the Salmon Primo at Pagliacci Pizza, which combines lightly smoked wild salmon with homemade dill ricotta cheese. DOWNTOWN Erez Klein, the wine buyer for Whole Foods Market Bellevue Salud!, is ready to show off some of his favorite wines from the Friuli region of Italy. A traditional Friulian menu is also included with everything from thyme-seared sea scallops on lemon risotto to homemade potato spätzle with grilled pork sausage and warm peach and raspberry strudel for dessert. WOODINVILLE Aug. 4 This month, the Seattle Art Museum celebrates First Thursday by incorporating Cynthia Nims' food into the art world. She will sign her new salmon cookbook from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the cafe while others enjoy a lunch consisting of various salmon recipes (such as chowder and frittatas). She will also sign her book from 6–9 p.m., and cook a multiple-course dinner including everything from salmon salad–stuffed tomatoes to Yukon river king salmon. Wine-themed packages will be for sale in a live auction, and P-I columnist Richard Kinssies will conduct a game of "name that wine."
