Art/Dance Party

Tacoma Art Museum continues their celebration of Sparkle Then Fade—a kick-ass exhibit of reflective art featuring respected Northwest artists like Alex Schweder and Claude Zervas alongside Andy Warhol, Jeff Koons, Alice Wheeler and others—with tonight’s summer dance party. “Pop-Crush-Fizz” it’s called, and you’re encouraged to wear an equally loud ensemble. Wearers of the “most sparklicious outfits” will be crowned Twinkle King and Queen, and take their first dance to the lounge-act sounds of Lushy or the selections of DJ Vodka Twist (who DJs some great mod parties). Included in the ticket price, which supports TAM education programs, is two drinks, some munchies, and a raffle for free museum membership. Burlesque is in the house, but we talk about those glittering goddesses all the time. This is your night to shine.

Fri., Aug. 24, 8 p.m.
