The Program with Khingz Makoma of Abyssinian Creole

Thursday, December 20

Khingz Makoma is probably better recognized for being half of Seattle hip-hop duo Abyssinian Creole. Gabriel Teodros may be missing from the mix this time around, but Khingz has shown in the past with his battle raps that he can stand on his own. His solo album effort Slaveships to Spaceships is a politically-conscientious manifesto that examines issues like corrupt law enforcement and racial tensions. The opinionated emcee stands on his soapbox tonight as part of Blue Scholars' Program. With Blue Scholars, Saturday Knights, Grynch and DJ B-Mello.

Listen to a sample of Abyssinian Creole's "The Elixer."
