Oyster Roast

Think of the Puget Soundkeeper Alliance oyster roast like this: the more shellfish you eat now, the more shellfish you get to eat later. Proceeds from this Southern-style chow-down will help monitor and patrol Puget Sound to stop illegal pollutants and toxic dumping. It’s environmentalism for the sake of your stomach. With music by Ballard string band The Tall Boys, attendees will feast on sausage, coleslaw, baked beans, and all-you-can-eat buckets of Taylor Shellfish oysters. (They’re covered with wet coffee sacks and grill-steamed until they bubble out of their shells.)
