Never has preschool been so terrifying. The new Artattack Theater Ensemble presents Eric Coble's Bright Ideas, poking fun at yuppie parenting through probably the most enthusiastic interpretation of Macbeth youll ever see. Shakespeare purists beware: The entire set is made of childrens furniture, and the backdrop is a bright and colorful playroom wall with cute jungle animals. Genevra and Josh will do anything to get their 3-year-old Mac into the best preschool in town. Im sure you can guess what happens next: murder, mayhem, and one nightmare of a kids birthday party. In the teeny-tiny Walrus Theatre above CHAC, the overbearing parents become overbearing to the audience, to the point of discomfort. The cast delivers larger-than-life performances, but in a space this small, everyone seems to be overdoing it. DYLAN SLADKY 8 p.m. Thurs.-Sat., 2 p.m. Sun. Ends Nov. 9.
