Second City Comedy Tour

Their names don’t boast the recognizability of, say, Tina Fey, Bill Murray, Steven Colbert, or Mike Myers . . . yet. But given time and training, the six rising funnypants of the Second City comedy tour may one day achieve their ultimate goal: following their now-famous comedic brethren onto Saturday Night Live and Comedy Central. In the meantime, the troupe’s current production, One Nation Under Blog, promises to mine “comedic gold from the day’s headlines and the worlds of politics, entertainment, and media.” Which may sound a bit too E! News, but the part-sketch, part-improv show consistently finds a balance between the intelligent and the absurd. And, sob!, this may be the last week ever for Sarah Palin routines. Moore Theatre, 1932 Second Ave., 467-5510, $25–$35. 7:30 p.m. JULIE SEABAUGH

Sun., Nov. 2, 7:30 p.m., 2008
