Here in Seattle, festival season ends not at the end of summer but at the beginning of October, after Seattle Weekly's REVERB Local Music Festival—which goes down Saturday, October 6—has wrapped up. Every year, REVERB aims to bring you a diverse and comprehensive mix of the best local music. A $10–$15 festival wristband gets you access to 10 venues on and around Ballard Avenue, all packed with live music, all day. The only rules for the lineup are that acts have to be local, and, because we like to keep things fresh, they can't have played last year's festival.
REVERB LOCAL MUSIC FESTIVAL $10 adv./$15 DOS. Sat., Oct. 6.
This year we're pleased to announce a lineup of old favorites (Sweetwater) and young up-and-comers (Kithkin, Naomi Punk); heavy noisemakers (Grave Babies, Full Toilet) and lady rockers (Cristina Bautista, Nouela); rising rappers (OCnotes, Brothers From Another) and first-rate folk bands (Country Lips, Shivering Denizens); a mysterious cover band that's sure to thrill fans of both the Rolling Stones and the Blood Brothers (The Greatest Rock 'n' Roll Band in the World); and a beard-rock supergroup featuring members of the Maldives and the Moondoggies (Cosmic Pantherland Band). And this is only a preliminary list—we'll be adding acts in the weeks to come, so be sure to check seattleweekly.com/reverb for updates.
