4. The rare Orondo Ruby cherry has hit Seattle QFC and Fred Meyer stores. This outstanding cherry was discovered growing in 2001 in the middle of a Rainier orchard owned by Marcus Griggs. They sent a crate of them to our food editor and she has declared them juicy and sweet (her 7-year-old daughter did as well).
