1. Maison Tavern opens its doors tonight in SoDo. Sharing a space with sibling nightclub Aston Manor, the cocktail bar morphs into a VIP area when Aston Manor is in full swing. You might want to check out the house rules before heading over. The basics? No cell phones, no flash photography and “no ordering a ‘Sex on the Beach.’” Hours are 11:00 am to 7:00 pm Monday through Friday.

2. Seattle Restaurant Week starts this Sunday. More than 160 area eateries are participating, including newcomers Shanik and Le Zinc. For a full list of who’s offering $28 three course dinners (and $15 three course lunches) click here.

3. Check out this trailer for the first episode of “Moveable Feast with Fine Cooking,” a new 13-episode PBS show airing on KCTS at the very off time of Thursdays at 12:30 am. If you missed today’s episode featuring Tom Douglas and Thierry Rautureau, catch Seattle chefs Maria Hines and Holly Smith on November 28th show.

4. Chef/sake sommelier Mutsuko Soma of Miyabi 45th will host three sake brewers from Japan for a special dinner on Thursday, October 17th. The $65 per person meal includes six courses paired with six sakes. Call 206-632-4545 for reservations.
