1. Have you lost track of the dizzying number of Pioneer Square opening announcements yet? Here’s another: Damn the Weather, a new bar by Bryn Lumsden, is set to open around mid-May, reports Eater. Lumsden has bartended at several spots around town, including Rob Roy and Vito’s, and he’s also an original member of the Fleet Foxes. The neighborhood bar, named after a vintage brunch cocktail, is in the works at First Ave. S between Yesler and Washington.

2. Though her bakery project with Joshua Henderson has fallen through, pastry chef Laura Pyles has other plans in the works, according to Seattle Met. Pyles, formerly of Revel and Joule, is launching a bi-monthly pop up bakery called Parchment at Ballard’s Brimmer and Heeltap. The first date is set for April 6. Expect retro desserts that incorporate throwback flavors in sweet and salty combinations, like maple bacon and butterscotch sea salt bundt cakes.

3. On San Juan Island, the Friday Harbor House inn is hosting two beer-focused dinners at their Bluff Restaurant and Bar. Each features a four-course meal with items like Leek and Crab Terrine, Smoked Steelhead on Toasted Brioche, Baked Olympic Oysters, and Dark Chocolate Cake paired with beer from Island Hoppin’ Brewery (at the March 15th dinner) and Anacortes Brewery (at the April 5 dinner). 4. Your fancy Google Glass may not be welcome in certain Seattle restaurants. Locally, 5 Point Café and Lost Lake Cafe and Lounge have banned the gadget, as have multiple bars in San Francisco, reports
