Some people just have shitty luck. Take, for instance, a man Seattle police say was shot in the buttocks late Thursday night while walking near 140th and 32nd Avenue NE in Lake City. And as if that wasn't bad enough, police say it's the second time the man has been injured in a shooting in the Lake City area in the last two years.
Around 11:15 pm, police got a tip that a man had been shot near 140th and 32nd Avenue NE, and was on his way to Harborview.
Gang Unit detectives went to HMC and found the victim, who told police he was walking by Little Brook Park when someone in a car shot at him, striking him in his rear. His injury is not life-threatening.
This is the second time the man has been injured in a shooting in the Lake City area in the last two years. This time, he told detectives he has no idea why anyone would want to shoot him, as he is working, going to school, and attempting to put his past troubles behind him.
